WEEK 2
This week I started to learn how to build my personal website. There are some useful and neccessary tools: Brackets and FileZilla.
WEEK 3
Web scraping combines technology and research, enabling in-depth analysis of digital data while highlighting the potential and limitations of digital methodologies.
WEEK 4
Our five people will finish team assignment together. This is an interesting group work and I believe we can have a satisfactory redult.
WEEK 6
This week, I learned to create and format bar charts in Excel, emphasizing the importance of clean data organization and effective visualization for clear and engaging data presentation.
WEEK 7
Through this machine learning practice, I realized that the performance and fairness of a model heavily rely on the quality and diversity of its training data, and that continuous reflection and iterative improvement are crucial during the development process.
WEEK 8
Understanding how algorithms categorize us reveals both their limitations in representing complex identities and the importance of transparency and accountability in their use.
WEEK 9
Participating in the Partner Activity and exploring various online communities highlighted the power of modern information gathering, the importance of understanding community rules, and the balance between free speech and social norms in digital spaces.
WEEK 10
In Week 10, our group created an interactive Twine story titled *The Hunger Crisis in the UK*, exploring choices and consequences, which provided me with valuable insights into game design and digital media skills, marking a satisfying end to Semester 1 workshops.
